18th annual lighthouse 5k run
The Junior Service League of St. Augustine is hosting its 18th annual Lighthouse 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Run to be held in conjunction with the annual St. Augustine Lighthouse Festival. Ancient City Road Runners are volunteering to administer the event. This year's race will be a chip race (timed at the start and finish)—a vast improvement and a perk to our serious runners.
The run is Saturday, March 20th, 4 p.m. at the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum.
The run begins and ends at the Historic St. Augustine Lighthouse with a route along the scenic Anastasia Island waterfront. T-shirts will be provided to adult runners. The run begins at 4p.m. and the fun run starts at 5:00p.m.
Proceeds benefit service projects of the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Musuem and the Junior Service League of St. Augustine, Inc. The league is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1935 to address the civic, cultural, and service needs of our community.
